From the elders:

Coronavirus (aka. COVID-19) continues to spread rapidly in our country and communities.  To mitigate against risk ofaccidental exposure and infection, we are suspending (until further notice) Sunday morning Bible study.  For now, we will continue to have Sunday morning worship at our normal time, 11 AM.

We ask each member to give serious consideration to their own personal safety.  Each of us has our own unique set of risks and health considerations.  Please use your best judgment in deciding if you should attend Sunday morning.

Should you choose to attend, please adhere rigorously to the social distancing guidelines published and discussed last Sunday.  By way of reminder:

 Avoid hugs and handshakes.
Wash your hands frequently (for at least 20 seconds before rinsing).
Use hand sanitizer after touching door knobs, handles, flat surfaces, etc.
 Cover coughs and/or sneezes.
Respect personal spaces.  New guidelines recommend a minimum distance of six (6) feet between individuals (this seems to be the “magic number” to help prevent contamination).

For those with Facebook accounts, we will continue to live stream the worship service to help facilitate home worship for our more vulnerable members.  If you need individual communion pods brought to your home, please let us know and we will arrange for them to be delivered.

We continue to ask you to please stay home if:

You are sick (in any way).
You have a weakened or compromised immune system.
You have preexisting chronic health conditions (respiratory, heart, diabetes, etc.).
You have been exposed, or MAY have been exposed (even if you are not showing symptoms).

A special note for those who choose to err on the side of caution and not attend.  Please be assured that neither we, nor any other member, takes this as a reflection upon your faithfulness or spirituality.  We are all dealing with an unprecedented situation and doing the best we can.  Let us love, edify, support, encourage, and pray for one another during this difficult time.

We are continuing to prayerfully monitor the situation.  Health and government officials, at both the Federal and State levels, continue to recommend limiting gatherings to ten (10) or fewer.  Many of our sister congregations have already suspended allservices for the next few weeks.  Others, including us, are giving this serious consideration.  Please pray for us as we wrestle with this difficult decision.  Should we deem it necessary to take this action, we will communicate it to you at a future date.  Please pray for us as we are praying for each of you.
